Job Description
: Job Summary:

To support the HR Benefits function and contribute to the overall success of the team by managing day-to-day administration of FMLA and LOA policies. Ensure coordination of, but not limited, to STD, LTD, Vacation, and benefit premiums while providing a high level of customer service, administrative support, and project coordination throughout the benefits process.

Job Responsibilities:

Serves as point-of-contact for team members and managers and responds to frequent inquiries regarding leaves of absence, claims issues, and other health and welfare benefits. Administers Leaves of Absence by reviewing and approving/rejecting LOA requests in accordance with all State/Federal laws and in compliance with Company policies. Assists and counsels Team Members to ensure Team Member understanding of benefits policies and programs, legal rights, eligibility, and requirements; generates necessary correspondence as required. Acts as a resource for Management, Payroll, and HR contacts to ensure their understanding and compliance with benefit policies and regulations. Develops and maintains HRIS tracking reports as needed by management. Manages Employment Development Department disability claims and unemployment insurance claims by processing forms and attending appeal hearings as necessary. Keeps Benefits Manager and Management advised of potential problem areas and recommends and assists with implementation of appropriate solutions. Liaison between STD, LTD, RRB and Team Member. Tracks and pays bills. Processes all Time Off Work slips. Sends all correspondence to team members on a leave. Works closely with Risk Management to ensure policies are being followed Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements
: Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum 3 years HR/Benefits experience. Knowledge and understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within benefits and payroll. Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations affecting Team Member benefit programs such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and Section 125. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint with advanced skills in Excel. Excellent interpersonal skills and the capability to deal with benefits/medical matters in a confidential, objective and professional manner. Must be a self-starter and quick learn able to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment. Must be a team player and have the ability to work independently. Must have strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively explain, educate and transfer complex information in an understandable and accurate manner. Must have good organizational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritizes duties, and efficiently complete responsibilities to manage a stressful and demanding workload. Must have conflict management skills and be able to remain customer focused. Ability to maintain confidentiality, exhibiting a high level of integrity and trustworthiness. Innovative problem solver that proactively identifies ways to improve service offerings and processes.
