The Religious Studies Program seeks a dynamic individual for a full-time Lecturer for the 2013-2014 academic year. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach an undergraduate-level methods course in Religious Studies (Introduction to Religion), as well as other courses that complement the already existing faculty specialties in the program. Scholars who have a specialty in the areas of Native American religion/spirituality or the religions of South Asia (especially Hinduism) are especially encouraged to apply. This is a full-time and benefits eligible position. The appointment will begin in August 2013. The position will be open until filled. Review of applications will begin on February 1, 2013. Duties and Responsibilities
Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications
- The teaching workload will be three (3) courses per semester. *The candidate must be prepared and qualified to teach an undergraduate-level methods course in Religious Studies (Introduction to Religion), as well as other courses that complement the already existing faculty specialties in the program. *The teaching assignment may include large enrollment classes and smaller seminar classes. Classes will be determined by area of expertise and program needs. *Serve as undergraduate advisor. *Engage in other service activities as requested by the Program.

Additional Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Religion or a related field in hand by August 1, 2013. * Previous teaching experience in a university context.

- Ability to utilize technology in teaching. *Scholars who have a specialty in the areas of Native American religion/spirituality or the religions of South Asia (especially Hinduism). *Previous teaching experience in a U.S. university.
