The Legal Assistant will partner with 3-4 attorneys to assist in legal matters as appropriate. The preferred candidates should be enthusiastic and motivated, have a strong work ethic, and work well under pressure. Excellent communication and follow-up skills required. Advanced computer and organizational skills are preferred. Must be a self-starter and team player with the ability to organize and establish administrative procedures independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following but other duties may be assigned.
Organize, update, file, and manage hard copy and soft copy files/emails, contracts and other critical files for Legal Department.
Manage contracts database and calendaring.
Assist with all administrative needs of the business and legal affairs department, including scanning, faxing, copying, printing, scheduling, etc.
Interact with external customers, business associates, and counsel with professionalism, discretion and tact while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality with sensitive information.
Meeting preparation to include agendas, itineraries and preparatory materials, conference room and/or conference call set up.
Facilitate the creation and/or editing of correspondence, agreements, PowerPoint presentations and other documents.
Light drafting of nondisclosure agreements, termination letters and other legal documents.
Discover and initiate process improvements.

Education and/or Experience
2 - 4 years of relevant legal support experience, preferably in-house or at a law firm supporting transactional attorneys practicing in Internet, technology, entertainment and/or media-related issues.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
Advanced working knowledge of MS Word.
Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel, including the use of graphs and charts.
Advanced working knowledge of MS PowerPoint.
Advanced working knowledge of MS Outlook.
