We are looking for a full-time legal editor in the area of family law to join the editors and researchers in our hard-working, friendly editorial department in Berkeley, CA. The new editor will write and edit family law content for the Nolo website, for divorcenet.com, and for other sites, update existing books and articles, and edit new books.
Our ideal applicant must:
Have a law degree from an accredited law school.
Have three to five years’ experience with family law, as a practicing attorney or court staff member.
Have excellent writing and editing skills, particularly for a non-legal audience.
Be comfortable writing and editing online content.
Work well with other people, be able to juggle several projects at once, and be able to meet deadlines.
Be capable of supervising others and managing the workflow of multiple freelance editors.
Possess excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Word and Excel; familiarity with Google Analytics a plus.
