The Legal Intern will provide support to attorneys in drafting, reviewing and managing contracts and other necessary documents, providing legal research and working on other corporate related projects and transactions.
1. Special Projects 40%
A. Handles document production and legal support for a wide variety of large projects that occur within the legal department. These include document production and management of investigations and due diligence requests from various parties. A high degree of independence and judgement is required as there is less attorney involvement.
2. Research 40%
A. Perform legal and factual research
B. Perform records research
C. Research and identify relevant judicial decisions, statutes, legal articles, codes and other pertinent material
D. Organize and analyze information
E. Cross-check and validate information
3. Legal department operations 20%
A. Assisting attorney in his day to day work, including drafting, reviewing and managing contracts and other necessary documents, providing legal research and working on other corporate related projects and transactions.
* Bachelors Degree
* Proficiency with Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
* Previous experience working in a Corporate Setting.
* L1 Law Student
