A fast paced, mid-size DC law firm is seeking a skilled legal secretary to provide support to four attorneys in the International Trade Practice. The successful legal secretary applicant will have a minimum of two years spent recently supporting international trade and/or litigation attorneys and be flexible for overtime. This team focuses primarily in antidumping case work and there is significant docket work involved. The firm offers a great team dynamic and competitive salary. Specific responsibilities will be to create, prepare, e-file and/or paper file trade documents and correspondence for filing with various trade courts including but not limited to International Trade Commission, Department of Commerce, Court of International Trade, keep dockets of incoming documents and correspondence for numerous cases from various law firms, jurisdictional courts and associated courts, correspond with other attorneys regarding cases; correspond with clients regarding billing invoices and cases; correspond with court personnel regarding e-filing and case docket, calendar management, travel scheduling, time-entry, and preparing new client matters. The qualified secretary will be proficient in MS Office 2010, with advance Word 2010 skills that include the ability to use section macros, templates, create table of contents and table of authorities. Two years+ legal administrative assistant / legal secretary experience supporting either a litigation team or international trade team .
Strong Word 2010 skills, using litigation specific functions.
Team player.
Flexibility for occasional overtime.
