Carry out legal responsibilities accurately, while using good judgment and discretion to ensure goals and objectives of the legal department are achieved. Maintain positive, professional relationships with internal and external customers.
Some of the job responsibilities will include:
1. Draft, track, and log all large and mid-sized group agreements and amendments (which also include all Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug group contracts), along with any revisions throughout the year.
2. Review all Powers of Attorney, Letters of Guardianship, Letters of Authority for Personal Representative, Judgments of Divorce, and other court orders for the purpose of disclosures under HIPAA Privacy Rule.
3. Assist with maintenance of the legal department file and document retention system using OnBase.
4. Monitor employee completion of compliance training and perform follow up when necessary.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in legal, compliance, managed care, or health plan administration
