The Librarian I, Instruction and Learning Technology Librarian performs duties typical of a librarian.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serves as a member of the Instructional Services department
Performs library instruction
Supervises the operations of the Learning Technology Lab
Provide leaderships in the library’s engagement with freshmen generally and with the First-Year Seminar program specifically.
Supervises one full-time staff
Works regularly scheduled hours at the Research Services desk
Serves as library liaison to at least one academic department
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor
Master’s degree from a program accredited by the ALA ; experience providing instruction; strong technology skills; extensive knowledge of commonly used software applications; ability to form and maintain good working relationships with students and faculty; and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
Experience in library instruction; experience working in a public service area; experience running a public service area; video, audio, and multimedia creation skills; and supervisory experience.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. No or very limited exposure to physical risk. No or very limited physical effort required.
