This position is responsible for circulating library materials; assisting with document delivery, staffing the reference desk and occasionally opening and/or closing the library. Provides customer service to Mercer faculty, staff, and students; Memorial Team Members and community patrons. Additional duties as assigned by the Associate Director - Savannah campus.
High school diploma or GED and one year of customer service or library experience is required. College coursework highly desirable. Candidate must have a working knowledge of computers and spreadsheets. Library experience, medical terminology and public relations or customer service background highly desirable. Individual must be detail oriented and possess good interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to work independently and as part of the library team is essential. Must be willing to practice flexibility in work schedule when necessary. Selection of the final candidate is contingent upon successful completion of a credit and criminal background check.
