General Summary:
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker is responsible for providing direct diagnostic and therapeutic services to individuals and their families. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker participates actively in all relevant team, supervision, and general staff meetings to enhance the services of Community Services Group (CSG).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with individuals, families, and groups to address and treat emotional and mental illnesses and to promote wellness.
Works closely with other specialists to maximize the level of care.
Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services in accordance with the standards of CSG and general standards applicable to mental health professionals.
Provides individual and/or group counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, elderly, and families.
Adheres to and upholds the ethical standards and guidelines of the profession.
Documents work in accordance with CSG's standards in the areas of diagnostic evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge procedures, and other consumer related activities.
Participates in education and other activities necessary to maintain competency in clinical work.
Provides on-call services as scheduled by the program director.
Actively participates in clinical team and staff meetings.
Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
Performs additional responsibilities as needed and/or outlined by the program director.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of behavioral health diagnosis and coding for children/adolescent, adults, elderly, and families.
Knowledge of child and adolescent developmental stages.
Knowledge of program regulatory requirements and CSG program standards.
Knowledge of computers and Microsoft software products.
Knowledge of the standards and ethical principles of the practices of psychology.
Knowledge and the ability to utilize good listening skills and comprehend verbal instructions given in English.
Ability to enhance CSG's psychological services and programs.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task.
Ability to collaborate with the family and/or primary caregiver and other members of the healthcare team.
Ability to manage individual case records and make recommendations for program changes as appropriate.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English.
Ability to write legibly in English in a clear, concise, and logical manner.
Ability to speak clearly and express self effectively in English.
Minimum Education, Credentials, and Experience:
Must have a current clinical license to practice social work as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors
Special Requirements:
Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking). Must be able to work flexible hours to meet individual's and program's needs.
Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, and meetings.
Must have the ability to obtain clearances as defined by regulations
