Four Winds Treatment Center is a new Alaska Native/Native American Outpatient Center that will be located in Juneau, Alaska. We are currently taking resumes and will be setting up interviews in the next week or two.
Provides direct patient care to adolescents, and adult patients in an acute psychiatric setting including individual and group counseling. Directs all addiction services including delivery of substance abuse counseling and chemical dependency evaluations. The Substance Abuse Counselor also ensures that substance abuse services are complaint with regulatory organizations (i.e., Department of Mental Health, IHS, Center for Medicaid & Medicare Services). This position also provides coverage for Adult program director as needed.
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor
At least five years of experience as a substance abuse treatment provider
3 years previous supervisory experience
Maintains continuing education units
Experience working with an acute psychiatric population preferred

Participates in the hospital Continuous Quality Improvement Program.
Serves as a member of assigned committees.
