Community Reach Center, a top-tier mental health provider in the northern Denver area, and the designated mental health provider for anyone eligible for Medicaid in Adams County, Colorado.

We are in need of a full-time Licensed Therapist to work out of our Thornton, CO outpatient office. Under direct supervision, provides mental health treatment to individuals, families and groups. Clinical and support services to consumers, may involve working with adults, children and/or families using evidence based practice models.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides on site assessment, consultation and brief intervention for psychological and psychiatric problems and disorders in a manner that promotes safety and comfort in a therapeutic environment.
  • Provides effective treatment planning and assisting clients in coordinating care with providers and collaterals.
  • Evaluates crisis situations and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Actively participates in meetings that support an integrated health care model.
  • Teaches consumers and families the care, prevention and treatment techniques of psychiatric disorders.
  • Document intervention and program activity according to Community REACH CENTER’s policy and procedure.
  • Attends and participates in in-services education and training opportunities, meetings and special events.
  • May provide liaison with consumers, families of consumers, or external facilities and agencies
  • Participates in the review of clinical issues and program policies and procedures.
  • Maintains accurate and timely clinical records consistent with corporation standards.
  • Consults with other therapists and related professional and paraprofessional staff, as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework; refers clients to appropriate service agencies as required.
  • Promotes cooperative working relationships and positive team atmosphere.
  • Completes all quarterly / annual productivity standards as outlined.
  • Performs other such duties as assigned within the scope of the position and program description, as well as those reflective of experience, education and ability.
  • Minimum of two years direct clinical experience.
  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology or related field.
  • Professional Counseling Licensure: LCSW, LP, LPC, LMFT.
  • Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence based treatments for mental health conditions in a primary care setting.
  • Ability to work through brief patient contacts and to make quick, accurate clinical assessments of mental health and behavioral conditions.
  • Comfortable with a fast paced working environment with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to design and implement clinical pathways and protocols that are evidence based for behavioral and mental health conditions.
  • Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Proficient typing skills and ability to multi task.
  • Knowledge and understanding mental health counseling principles, methods, procedures, and standards.
  • Familiarity with DSM IV and diagnostic techniques.
  • Creative, future thinking, team player, organizational skills, committed, and good conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to perform therapy in Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior child and family therapy experience.
