Title: Senior Applications Engineer
Job Location: Irvine, CA

Responsibilities:
Manage relationships with functional teams to consistently deliver code releases in a timely, organized, and staged manner across multiple platforms to meet customer expectations.
Participate in planning sessions for release deployment activities, including the tri-weekly release cycles, daily/weekly maintenance, and adhoc/emergency changes.
Maintain documentation detailing the current deployment states of a given environment.
Interface and work effectively and proactively with all cross-functional groups including Development, QA and Technical Support Teams.
Develop system requirements and deploy new integration application environments with internal development team, business partners and third party vendors.
Troubleshoot/resolve platform issues and escalate to development as appropriate.
Function as the escalation point for system and software issues for internally developed applications and Open Source frameworks.
Design application monitoring tools and tune application parameters for optimal performance in large scale environments.
Identify problem areas or performance related issues in our software containers and document specific issues for software and systems teams to focus on.
Benchmark and prioritize software application and system performance issues as they relate to service delivery and capacity planning.
Automate tasks through scripting and tools and technology to simplify system management, responsibilities and trouble-shooting.
Some travel may be required.

Qualifications:
Possess strong knowledge of application support and deployment in a multi-tiered architecture utilizing a mixed technology base with 5+ years of experience working in production environment.
Maintain excellent working relationships with multiple stakeholders within the organization in order to meet customer expectations in a timely manner.
BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field.
Strong attention to detail combined with excellent organization skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with web server technologies such as Windows IIS, JBoss and Apache.
Familiarity with Structured Query Language including Transact-SQL and PL/SQL.
Ability to lead and manage multiple tasks and projects.
Work experience or knowledge of MSI technology with products such as InstallShield, Windows Installer, etc.
Knowledge of scripting languages or scriptable shells such as batch files, Windows PowerShell, VBScript, UNIX shell scripts or specific build tools like Make or Visual Build.
Knowledge of configuring and deploying Windows services and ASP.NET applications.
A deep understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems including COM and the registry, .NET assembly loading, and user file permissions.
