Reply.com, an online marketing firm is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator, for our San Ramon office, to maintain Reply.com's Linux platform. This position requires installation of new systems and setting up proper monitoring for systems stability along with availability and properly addresses systems capacity problems. This person will have strong troubleshooting skills that are required to handle network/system issues. Monitoring servers for stability and taking both proactive and reactive measures to correct and prevent issues.
Provide fellow system administrators with technical support and guidance.
Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot services using Apache, Lighttpd, and MySQL.
Providing technical support via helpdesk.
Support other functions of the IT team as required.
Handle system outages and restore services after-hours and over the weekends if incidents occur.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in Linux Systems Administration.
Network Monitoring: Munin, Nagios or Orion.
Knowledge of Ubuntu, Redhat or Centos Linux.
Must have experience working with VMware vSphere.
Experience in network service administration including: MTA's, web servers (Apache and Lighttpd) and relevant protocols (SMTP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, NFS).
Strong understanding of TCP/IP and experience with configuring Linux Load Balancers and Firewalls.
General networking knowledge.
Scripting skills with Python/Perl.
Basic MySQL and Postgres database administration skills.
Knowledge of Mac OSX Administration.
Knowledge of Haproxy, Heartbeat, Squid, Memcache and Postfix email.
