Based in Irvine California our client is the leading provider of Data Center management Cloud Services Software development and IT Resource solutions Client has over 850 technology professionals located in the United States Spain Brazil Argentina and Venezuela This is a contract to hire position For consideration send me a Word format of your resume Jr Level Network Engineer Knowledge Experience Provide support of Data Center’ Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems infrastructure “Infrastructure” refers to layer 23 Switches Routers VPN Gateways LoadBalancers Intrusion Prevention Systems VM Ware Linux administration Firewalls and all related network management systems (servers modems DSUs etc) Provides technical support to various departments and users with regard to the LANWAN Assist in the establishment of infrastructure documentation standards Responsibility Keep the Data Center LANWAN infrastructure operational 247 Will participate in a rotating oncall schedule Maintain the current Network topology and recommend changes as needed to facilitate load requirements Perform maintenance and upgrades in a Change Controlled environment Act as liaison to vendors Telco carriers and internal departments to maintain the integrity of the network Provide technical support to desktop and server support teams Review and approve the installation of all network applications that utilize LAN and WAN resources Investigate alternative solutions to networking problems or enhancements Analyze each scenario with the pros and cons as they apply to the organization Prepare the appropriate level of documentation to support recommendations Use packet analysis tools to monitor and analyze problems that occur ensuring they are identified and solved as efficiently as possible Routinely analyze data traffic patterns where possible to anticipate Network growth requirements Assist with planning and installing of alternate access Networks for “Disaster Recovery” Maintain awareness and perform research in regard to new communications technologies
