      Job Description
      Associates in our corporate functions support the work done by the divisions of Gore. We are looking for an experienced, committed Litigation Paralegal to join our global legal team and support our Medical Products Division in Phoenix, AZ.

      If you are searching for a company where you can make a difference, we're looking for you. In this role, you will work with Gore attorneys on litigation support and other general paralegal projects.

      The ideal candidate will:

      Responsibilities include:
      • Providing litigation support, primarily in the areas of product liability, patent, and employment litigation, including:
        • Interacting with and managing certain outside counsel activities
        • Drafting and issuing litigation holds
        • Coordinating and participating in Internal witness interviews
        • Collecting documents and information, with a focus on e-discovery
        • Assisting counsel with discovery responses
        • Overseeing docketing of relevant dates and deadlines
        • Overseeing case files and document collections
      • Working on general paralegal projects, including:
        • Conducting basic legal research
        • Creating databases and systems
        • Managing information
        • Preparing reports and memoranda
        • Assisting the legal and business teams
        • Working other projects as needed
      • Collaborating and working with global legal team members
      • Demonstrating proper judgment and seeking attorney input and guidance at the appropriate times

      Qualifications
      Required Job Qualifications
      • Paralegal certificate from an accredited paralegal studies program, OR equivalent experience
      • At least 3 years of relevant experience with an in-house corporate legal team or private law firm
      • Experience with the e-discovery process, preferably with the initial identification and collection of records
      • General understanding of business
      • Clear understanding of the concepts of confidentiality, objectivity, and privilege
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills
      • Enthusiasm, energy, focus, and commitment
      • Ability to:
        • Interact professionally with a variety of internal and external audiences, including Gore associates, outside counsel, customers, representatives of other companies, and government agency personnel
        • Function independently and in a self-directed manner, as well as within a fast-paced, highly cooperative global team environment
        • Develop an in-depth understanding of Gore’s businesses
        • Develop a general understanding of Gore’s internal IT systems and team with Gore’s IT associates
        • Thrive in Gore’s unique culture

      • Four-year degree
