Litigation Paralegal

Zynga is looking for a dynamic Paralegal for its rapidly growing legal department. This position will be part of a team responsible for supporting the litigation functions of the legal department and will interact with various groups across the company, including other legal teams, finance, HR, business development, game studios and customer service.

  • Provide assistance to attorneys, senior paralegals and outside counsel teams in all aspects of case management including the discovery process, case preparation, tracking and communication of case related dates and information, database maintenance, use of litigation management software and electronic discovery software and the review and preparation of documents, reports and correspondence
  • Effectively organize and maintain case and client files
  • Assist with records and asset management
  • Issue document preservation notices and oversee compliance
  • Assist in gathering information, data and key documents from key custodians
  • Effectively summarize factual and statistical data
  • Conduct on-line factual research
  • Review and summarize facts from case-related documents and create chronologies of same
  • Draft general correspondence
  • Monitor and calendar case deadlines
  • Administrative support to team as necessary
  • Data entry support on litigation databases and Excel spreadsheets
  • Prepare trial/hearing/arbitration/mediation materials and coordinate logistics of same

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 2+ years job experience required, litigation experience preferred
  • Attention to detail and follow through with team attitude that no job is too big or too small
  • Willing to pitch in and support growing legal department in a fast-paced growing environment
  • Strong proofreading and a solid proficiency with litigation technology databases and litigation management and electronic discovery software required
  • Ability to work in a high activity/pace environment and manage associated stress
  • Skilled at meeting strict deadlines under significant time pressure
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of professionalism and client orientation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively work with various departments and levels within Zynga
  • Fast thinker/quick learner
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Ability to manage time and resources effectively and independently
  • Bachelors Degree required
  • Paralegal Certificate or appropriate signed declaration from an active member of the California Bar, a plus
