This position is responsible for managing all aspects of Load Planning (Domestic and Export) for the Charleston SCD Plant. This includes all outbound loads, Gate security for the Plant (which involves many Raw Materials and other material/trucks that access the SCD Plant). This position also supports many activities for the off site warehouses in Charleston and supports many inventory related activities. HOW YOU WILL IMPACT MWV
Provide daily leadership/support to properly manage all outbound loads (all related paperwork (DOT) and system requirements) and specific inbound material through the SCD Gate. Provide support for all QTS maintenance and related needs. Provide supervision of Load Planning, overseeing the process and facilitating where needed in order to execute shipment plans. Support month end closing, certain cycle count management activities, reconciliation tasks and associated plant/division reporting including Railcar reconciliation. Work with Area Managers and counterparts to establish viable metrics related to this role. Serve as point person with the Load Center to ensure that Carrier needs are met. Manage lease wagons to ensure that Plant needs are met regarding mobile storage needs (internal to the Charleston Plant). Travel Required: Less than 5% WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Proven c omputer skills in SAP, R3, QTS and material master date functionality experience required to master this job. Load Planning (Domestic and Export) and knowledge of traffic/logistic transaction flow Management Experience Inventory management experience A strong systems aptitude is required Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related studies strongly preferred with job related experience. 5 plus years related industrial experience including related logistics and leadership experience. Planning and implementation experience is required.
