RPM Mortgage, Inc. is looking for a Loan Assistant. The primary responsibilities are to provide administrative and organizational support for effective movement of a loan applicant package. Responsibilities include screening calls, preparing loan packages for submittal and communicating with vendors, clients and staff. This position is based in Alamo, CA.
Relieves the Loan Agent of administrative detail and coordinates loan work flow to include screening calls, preparing loan packages for
submittal and communicating with vendors, clients and staff.
Update and follow up on delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines.
Check deadlines on incoming requests and prioritize daily tasks accordingly.
Process replies on own initiative or from managers dictation or notes.
Ability to interpret and review Purchase Agreements, Appraisal, Tax Forms and Title Documentation.
Handle all inquiries within licensing capacity.
Maintain client database and calendar. Schedules appointments.
Answers phones and returns calls within a timely manner (same day response).
Follows and completes daily meeting and completes closing checklists.
Manage and maintain deadlines.
Order appraisals and initial disclosure packets.
Open escrow and order payoffs if needed
Input information into Calyx Point
Pull credit and credit supplements
Conduct VOE (written only on income verification), VOD, LOE
Handle check requests
Update files with income, assets, prelim, etc.
Rapid rescores when needed
Other duties and tasks assigned as needed by Loan Agent.
2-5 years of mortgage experience required, processing skills a plus.
Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications. Prior knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Online Applications,
Calyx Point or other similar loan originating software.
Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations and requirements with emphasis on MDIA, TILA, and RESPA reform. FHA
knowledge a plus.
Understands the loan flow and process from application to closing including file structure and loan documentation requirements.
Professional verbal and written communication skills plus proper telephone protocol. PHONE SKILLS and positive attitude a must.
Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Tactfulness and proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
Ability to work well with a wide range of people, work well under pressure and on deadline, and adapt to changing situations on a daily
Function independently and as a team player that collaborates with others and maintains a positive and proactive attitude.
Ability to work with a can do attitude and offer superior service to our loan officer customer base.
Ability to use creative thinking to find solutions to problems.
