Established in 1985, the Center for Cultural Interchange (CCI) is a non-profit international education exchange organization dedicated to the promotion of cultural understanding,Â academic development,environmental consciousness and world peace. Based in Chicago, Illinois, CCI organizes high school exchange, short-term group homestay, intern and trainee, work & travel in the U.S. and study, teach, volunteer, and language programs in over 30 countries around the world. In 2004, CCI adopted Greenheart as its environmental and social initiative. Greenheart connects people and planet through environmentalism, fair trade, social transformation and cross cultural understanding. CCI and Greenheart has been endorsed by the Mayor of Chicago and the City Council for the promotion of international education, environmental awareness and citizen diplomacy.
Work with schools, churches, and your community to find qualified host families for foreign exchange students. Our students come from 52 countries and are looking to experience life in America with a families willing to open their hearts and homes to them. Our programs also provide opportunities for American teenagers to participate in educational programs in Europe, South America and Asia. You can make a world of difference in the lives of these teens! This is a great job for retirees, teachers, stay at home mom's or individuals just interested in making a little extra money.
We offer a very competitive compensation package, along with terrific incentives and excellent training. The individuals selected will be independent contractors. As independent contractors there are no health insurance or retirement benefits. Typical candidates will place 5-8 candidates their first year with compensation averaging approximately $1000 per placement. This is not a full time job and best suited for individuals looking to supplement their income and wanting flexible hours.
Candidates must be at least 26 years of age and able to satisfactorily pass a background check.
Candidates should have a personal computer and understand basic computer usage such as email, social networking and managing data bases.
Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy networking with professional organizations, school teachers, church leaders and other centers of influence in your community.
