Scope of Responsibilities: Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions. Plans and assists with new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals. Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and fairness/inclusion. Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Oversees the performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization. Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization. Oversees benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance. Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate. Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations. Represents Lowe’s at personnel-related hearings and investigations. Supervises a staff of HR employees comprised of both exempt & non-exempt personnel.
Specific Duties: 1. Ensures the recruitment, employment, payroll, and benefit programs are followed in accordance with Company guidelines 2. Consults with the RGM/Management Staff on all people issues. 3. Leads the strategic implementation of staffing, training, developing, and retention of all location personnel. 4. Conduct ongoing training for both management and hourly employees as needed to support the Corporate Mission. 5. Champions the Facility’s Safety, Recognition, and Gallup initiatives. 6. Ensures all Lowe’s policies and procedures are implemented and followed. 7. Ensures proper control of payroll and other assigned expenses. Demonstrated Skills and Experience: 1. High integrity, character, morals and values. 2. Demonstrated proficiency with establishing rapport with location leadership (Coaches & Managers). 3. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word Software. 4. Demonstrated knowledge of applicable OSHA, EEO, FMLA, ADA, and NLRA standards. 5. Demonstrated knowledge of Lowe’s policies governing Human Resources. 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multi-tasks simultaneously.
Required Experience/Education: 1. Minimum five years supervisory experience. 2. Four-year Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required.
