DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Logistics EngineerDepartment: Supply Chain SolutionsReports To: Director, Supply Chain SolutionsSUMMARYThe Logistics Engineer position will be responsible for driving the Operations department in the procedural and identification aspects of client analysis, savings opportunities, monitoring client reports and assisting in the technical day to day operations of England Logistics, Supply Chain Management (SCM). The Logistics Engineer will demonstrate up-to-date expertise in logistics engineering and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans. The Logistics Engineer will work with the Operations and Supply Chain Solutions departments on client requests, projects, implementations, as well as other daily issues that need to be resolved. This position will be the Operations liaison with the SCS & IT departments ensuring all Operations departmental needs are being met.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES&61607;Executes logistics engineering projects&61607;Identifies and implements initiatives to reduce operating expense in Supply Chain Management&61607;Train Account Managers and review client reports &61607;Facilitate Account Managers with analysis design and execution&61607;Develop and implement departmental procedures as needed&61607;Assist in the cross training and development of Account Managers&61607;Participate in client meetings as needed&61607;Participate in Quarterly reviews as needed&61607;Assist with daily issues&61607;Assist to ensure all the Operational needs are being met by the other groups&61607;Work with SCS & IT on Operational projects to ensure successful outcomes&61607;Assist in implementations &61607;Creation and Development of client specific and SCM KPI's&61607;Data mining&61607;Network analysis and design&61607;Knowledgeable in all modes of transportationQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with accuracy, timeliness, and have a strong aptitude for detail. The individual must also excel in customer service, ability to document projects and procedure, knowledge of the England Logistics systems along with have the desire to help numerous departments of the company. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCECandidate must have a Bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in related field. LANGUAGE SKILLSThe ideal candidate must have advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. They must also possess the ability to learn the England Logistics system and related systems. A multilingual candidate and experience in I2 or other transportation modelers is preferred. This candidate must be able to communicate both written and verbally in a clear, concise professional manner and have the ability to build successful relationships.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSSupply Chain Professional certification or membership preferred.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.
