Implements the use of statistical analysis methods, sampling and testing evaluation techniques, data collection and similar analytical techniques for problem solving.
Collects and analyzes data to evaluate operational difficulties and make recommendations to solve problems.
Assists in the development of provisions for peak season requirements when sales and service requirements dictate based on seasonally of business.
Develop studies to optimize the company’s distribution supply chain by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, transportation and inventory.
Create and review standard operating procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Transportation/Logistics or related engineering discipline.
One to two years related experience and/or training in the transportation industry preferred.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents, professional journals and government regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and employees.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint and Project.
Ability to apply mathematical operations including frequency distribution, Pareto analysis of variance, correlation techniques and statistics.
Experience in using logistics and supply chain modeling tools would be beneficial.

Breakdown complex assignments into workable projects and well defined tasks.
Candidate should possess a strong customer service orientation, sense of urgency and problem resolution skills.
