PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:|
Position is on the consulting staff of a private, nonprofit consulting firm, headquartered in McLean, VA.
Access, analyze, transmit, and recommend AMC courses of action (COAs) in support of GCC missions. The assessments will be based upon the strengths and weaknesses of each COA and offer a recommended solution.
Plan for the provision of defense cooperation activities; be AMC's primary conduit to/from the established Joint Task Forces subordinate to the GCCs which generally operate within their respective area of responsibility (AOR).
Conduct anticipatory and predictive planning for potential operations and other circumstances that arise in which US interests are at risk and require rapid response. This could also include humanitarian response activities to natural disasters or other emergencies within the designated AOR's.
Deploy and train forward in locations like GCC Forward Headquarters, and provide real time, real world training support to the GCC in an operational environment
Work with GCCs to recognize AMC requirements, impacts and branches and sequels to real time events. Report weekly on the on-going operations within the GCC to HQAMC and Life Cycle Management Commands (LCMCs) to assess the knowledge levels and benefits of the
Training involved in the direct contact with GCC primary and supporting staff sections I officers.
This work requires regular interaction with other company research analysts, military representatives and commercial industry representatives to identify data and analysis requirements and structuring approaches to complex problems. The ability to work with technical and non-technical personnel is important for obtaining insight into operational logistics problems and identifying potential solutions. This position may lead to increased responsibility in heading up large research studies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of military experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills essential. It is essential that the candidate be able to develop and maintain professional relationships within LMI and with customers from highly varied backgrounds and disciplines. Must be self-directed and detail oriented.
