Appointment subject to availability of funds. DUTIES:
To qualify at the grade GS-13, applicants must have at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include activities such as 1) conducting logistics engineering analyses and propose solutions or courses of action for system and infrastructure sustainment; 2) identifying, assessing, tracking and mitigating programmatic risk to minimize impact on program execution; 3) participating in the development of project budgets, manage budget execution and report on budget status 4) providing consulting services in the development and evaluation of program plans and monitor progress toward meeting logistics plans. - Conduct logistics engineering analyses and propose solutions or courses of action for system and infrastructure sustainment to IT Division leadership and system program managers.
- Participate in the development of project budgets, manage budget execution and report on budget status.
- Identify, assess, track and mitigate programmatic risk to minimize impact on program execution.
- Implement and track program performance metrics to ensure program executing with schedule, technical, cost and risk baseline.
- Provide acquisition logistics subject matter expertise to IT Division programs to support development of comprehensive acquisition strategies and program plans. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Time-in-Grade Requirements: Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade in the Federal service. All qualifications and time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
New employees must serve a one year probationary period.
Drug Test: Must submit to a drug test and receive a negative drug test result before you can be appointed into this position. After appointment, you may be subject to random testing for illegal drug use.
Essential Personnel: This position may be designated as essential personnel. Essential personnel must be able to serve during continuity of operation events without regard to declarations of liberal leave or government closures due to weather, protests, acts of terrorism, or lack of funding. Incumbent must have and maintain a Logistics Level III Certification, or be able to achieve the certification within 18 months.

This position is a special-sensitive position and the tentative selectee must undergo and successfully complete a background investigation for a TS/ SCI clearance as a condition of placement/retention in this position.
This position has been designated exempt from bargaining unit representation under the national security provision of 5 USC Section 7112(B)(6).
