Description
      We are currently seeking a Senior Distribution Logistics Manager to impact the Supply/Logistics organization by developing, implementing, and leading multiple successful customer operations - from warehousing to transportation, with a specialty of High Value Telecommunications materials. This individual directs and controls activities in multiple facilities with multiple customers to ensure efficient and quality distribution services. Major responsibilities of this position are to develop operational goals and plans, monitor and communicate operational performance, drive operational execution, act as a liaison with internal/external customers, set priorities, coordinate with various functions to improve efficiencies and manage a team.

      Other duties include:

      Managing operations to meet customer deadlines

      Managing 3PL providers - owning your relationship with these providers

      Providing customer service

      Analytical - data reporting - know your numbers

      Participating in contract negotiations

      Reporting financial performance and cost control

      Monitoring warehouse/inventory system accuracy

      Coordinating special projects as requested

      Conflict Resolution - Facilitate with multiple parties to investigate Root Cause and Corrective Actions

      Candidates must have a Bachelors degree (Operations Management, Logistics Management, or Business Administration)

      Minimum of ten years experience in a high-volume warehousing/transportation operation or manufacturing operation, including five years' operations management experience in warehousing or transportation

      This experience must include multiple facilities with multiple customers

      Candidates should have a track record of participation pricing, contract negotiation, cost (LEAP) modeling, and cross-selling

      Work experience should include demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction, knowledge of a broad range of transportation products, the ability to work cross-functionally, and the ability to motivate and manage a staff

      Qualifications

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      Thorough knowledge of supply chain functions including purchasing, planning, logistics, inventory management and strategic planning.

      Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams.

      Must be a self-starter with good organization and planning skills that can work with people at all levels.

      Team building skills, motivation and leadership.

      Other Qualifications a plus:

      SAP ERP and/or WMS knowledge and experience

      High Value/White Glove transportation management

      Specialty / Heavy equipment (Cranes, Helicopter, Construction Equipment) provider management
