Responsible to maintain service and budget targets for all transportation and distribution lanes for import and domestic shipments. The Logistics Manager will also ensure excellent customer service and support to Retail stores.

Import & Domestic Transportation · Manage 5+ transportation vendor relationships delivering to (2) domestic warehouses and (130) retail locations. · Seek and develop new and existing vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and service are maintained and optimized.
· Ensure tight lead times are met through weekly KPI Reporting and Carrier follow-up.
· Meet budget targets through strong negotiation and spend monitoring.
· Identify cost effective and creative ways to decrease lead time, limit claims, and improve service to internal and external customers.
· Initiate and implement process and system changes necessary to streamline vendor relations functions
· Drive transportation planning for special events, showrooms, and high value shipments to ensure seamless execution.
· Implement environmentally conscious alternatives when appropriate.
Transportation Budget Analysis & Reporting · Manage and develop $16M Transportation Budget.
· Collaborate with Logistics Director in budget presentation process for each fiscal year and partner with Business Planning team on a monthly basis to review.
· Maintain monthly KPI Reporting on budget targets, review and report to Executive team and Finance Department.
· Optimize transportation and work flow by identifying processes and IT solutions that will improve upon existing challenges.
· Oversee vendor invoices and ensure timely payment for all transportation charges.
Domestic Distribution Optimization · Partner with warehouse on projects to optimize shipment packing and service to stores
· Create communication initiatives to drive cost savings and streamline back of house operations for the retail network.
Communication & Customer Service · Participate in project management teams to influence business improvement opportunities.
· Understand the internal and external service culture of Louis Vuitton and provide excellent customer service to Retail Stores and by extension, their clients.
· Proactively communicate Logistics strategies and initiatives to stores during store visits;
· Ensure effective transmission of information to the Supply Chain Department, Merchandising Department, MIS Department, Warehouses and Retail Operations Network.
· B.S./B.A. degree; mathematics, science, engineering or business disciplines preferred. · Five plus years experience with logistics and supply chain systems required; relevant experience from a retail environment is ideal.
· Supply Chain experience a plus.
· Resourceful and cooperative attitude; service-oriented, displaying strong competency to work with internal customer
· Solution-oriented from an individual and global perspective
· Retail instincts
· Efficient work habits and ability to multitask - provide optimum follow-through for all deliverables, maintain an organized phone and email process.
· Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work across functional areas and levels of the organization
· Strong quantitative analytical skills. Comfort with data and computer applications essential.
· Proficiency in MS Office products (especially Access & Excel).
· Demonstrated professional and personal maturity level
· High adaptability and flexibility
