This position exists primarily to generate revenue by selling outbound and inbound logistics solutions delivered either through a PC-based or cloud-based platform. It requires strong analytical skills in order to match product and/or solution features, perform ROI analyses and business case development related to package and/or mail delivery and Supply Chain Operations. Sales and service offerings will be made to new prospects and current users within an assigned territory through direct, face-to-face contact. The Logistics Sales Specialist is expected to consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue quotas.
Build, maintain and grow an active pipeline of qualified prospects through relationships, prospecting, and networking. Provide product demonstrations, work leads from field sales, direct mail and other marketing campaigns.
Maintain detailed and updated opportunity matrixes for each targeted account to insure that the appropriate manufacturer sales support resources can be available and to assist in the preparation of accurate and timely sales forecasts.
Aggressively work the pipeline understanding the metrics and strategies required to consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue quotas.
Interface with major customers on a very frequent basis, ensuring all performance expectations are met or exceeded. Schedule regular meetings, provide reports and data and address customer concerns with timeliness.
Support cross functional channel strategies with the ability to collaborate across business unit boundaries to deliver the best available technology solutions
Ability to craft business solutions impacting users and technical buyers through exceptional communication (written and verbal) and leadership skills
Bachelor's Degree a must. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience that demonstrates a general knowledge of business principles and practices, communication skills, statistical analysis, sales and marketing concepts
Ability to develop a thorough understanding of all aspects of the market including technology and platforms utilized
Ability to travel within state of Virginia.
Valid driver's license and minimum levels of auto insurance coverage
Proficiency using MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Outlook)
Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation skills)
Personal drive and internal motivation toward high achievement with the aptitude and desire for sales.
