Kendall Toyota of Anchorage has an immediate opening for a full time Lot Attendant. Needs to be flexible with days and hours. Must have the ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles both automatic and manual transmissions. Good driving record acceptable for company insurance required.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the appearance of dealership display lots and the appearance of the vehicles on these lots. Assigns work and monitors its completion; acts as liaison between work crew and department manager; and performs same tasks as crew.
DUTIES/ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS:
Daily assessment of display lots, take appropriate action to display vehicles to Kendall standards.
Assign tasks to work crew on a daily or more frequent basis; monitor crew to ensure proper completion of tasks; provide proper direction, training and appropriate counseling to work crew members.
Park, move and deliver vehicles to sites and locations as required.
Set up and remove displays and associated material for special events.
Service vehicles to protect tires, battery and other parts against deterioration.
Wash and dry, vacuum, clean glass and other portions of vehicles.
Jump start and charge vehicle batteries.
Operate and maintain snow removal equipment.
Perform painting, general building maintenance, and minor facility repairs.
This position will have numerous other duties assigned as required.
QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING OR SKILLS REQUIRED:
Valid driver license with a driving record acceptable to Kendall insurance companies.
General knowledge of vehicles.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:
Work is generally performed outdoors with a limited amount of indoors work. Some indoors work is in a shop environment, and may have exposure to cool or hot conditions, elevated noise levels, fumes and dust. Outdoors work is exposed to ambient heat and cold, and to sun, rain, snow and other weather conditions.
VEHICLES OR MOVING EQUIPMENT DRIVEN AS PART OF JOB:
A wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans are driven. Both manual and automatic transmissions must be operated.
TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES USED:
May spend up to one hour per day working with PCs and video display screens. Uses general mechanic’s hand tools, pressure washer, and general cleaning and washing tools and equipment.
Standing/walking for short distances: 3/4 to entire work shift on hard surfaces.
Sitting: Less than 1/4 of work shift.
Carrying: occasionally, up to 20 pounds for up to 400 feet; occasionally, up to 50 pounds for up to 100 feet.
Lifting: occasionally, up 50 pounds, both above and below shoulder height.
Pulling: occasionally, up to 50 pounds force.
Stooping/bending: frequently, to clean lower portions of vehicles.
Kneeling: rarely, to clean lowest portion of vehicles.
Bending/twisting: frequently, primarily to enter/exit vehicles.
Climbing: occasionally, ladders to 12 feet.
Sight: adequate color vision to identify vehicles by color characteristic.
Hearing and speech: adequate to receive information and instructions from supervisors and co workers, and to communicate this information to work crew.
