Responsibilities include engineering the global Lync and collaboration product suite. Envision and Engineer new features on the Lync, and Exchange Platforms. Must have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Lync and have a proven background of delivering projects and features upon the platform. Need to have a strong understanding of the regulatory needs of the financial industry in the e-communication space.
This person will focus on system infrastructure / architecture, integration projects, working in a global team setting to engineer the next set of solutions as well as handling senior level support escalations.
The Ideal candidate will have 7+ years systems integration or engineering Instant messaging in medium to large enterprises with some knowledge of email platforms.
Technical: This person will be responsible for leading the global team, designing and engineering global Lync and collaboration product suites with in depth technical knowledge of IM, voice and video protocols and platforms with strong security, Active Directory and Networking skills. Industry leader who sees upcoming trends, new products, industry best practices and is able to implement new ideas/tools in the Client environment. Must have Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning, able to design DR and HA approaches to Lync. Should have experience with other IM PIC clients (e.g. Yahoo, Client, Skype etc..) and interoperability.
Product Management: The person will be responsible for development of business case and return-on-investment (ROI) analysis for the Email product, management of product roadmap and lifecycle releases, vendor engagement, delivery management, product marketing, and financial management of the product.
Initiative/Ownership: The person must be self-starter, self-motivated and able to moving project(s) forward.
Analysis: Ability to work with his/her local/global team, managers and internal clients to understand business practices and engineer solutions.
Communication: The person will need good verbal and written communication skills. He/she needs to show past experience in utilizing various influencing skills and be able to collaborate, communicate and deliver in a global environment.
inter-personal skills: Ability to present to management, internal client audiences or professional peers, and ability to work independently on problem solving and investigation.
Project Management: In an enterprise infrastructure oriented environment and ability to drive complex projects.
Lync, Softphone, Video and Voice (VOIP)
The position requires email infrastructure experience.
Expert knowledge of Lync, with some knowledge of Exchange.
Ability to Lead over time a global team
knowledge of instant messaging related protocol/services, VOIP (knowledge of Cisco CUCM) and Video. Working knowledge of critical aspects of an enterprise environment (e.g. Networking, Active Directory, DNS, etc).
Scripting experience, e.g. shell scripts, Perl, PowerShell.
Working networking knowledge, e.g. DHCP, TCP/IP, WINS, subnetting, firewalls.
knowledge of collaboration protocols like SIP/SIMPLE, XMPP.
knowledge of authentication and federation.
Lync Client experience in a VDI environment, including specific knowledge of Remote Desktop and Citrix protocols and virtual channels.
background in design of highly scalable, resilient infrastructure (Load Balancing, Clustering, Security) and supporting DR scenarios.
Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Virtualization (Hyper-v a plus) and storage platforms.
Must be strong in creating Engineering and large scale deployment documentation
Additional knowledge of SQL, IIS, DNS, .NET and Hyper-V is a plus
