Reports to the Supervisor of Mail Services. Processes and sorts mailed based on established guidelines. Prepares incoming mail for scanning or processing in a timely manner. Processes sorted mail to the correct department and prepares outgoing mail with the correct postage. Enters claim volume into established database daily. Responsible for the sorting, labeling and verification of the appeals, adjustments, correspondence, etc. to be sent to outside vendor.
Requires High School Diploma. Requires one year of related experience. Requires strong keyboard skills using PC and Microsoft Windows programs including data entry Must operate general office and communication equipment. Requires the ability to sort and separate incoming mail based on established guidelines. Requires concentration and constant attention to details. Requires the ability to follow directions and maintain an organization within the workarea. Requires the ability to work independently as well as communicate effectively and work well with others.
