Follow a time schedule for opening and sorting incoming mail.
Assist with correspondence identification of insurance information necessary to correctly mail claims to payers with correct attachments.
Sort all incoming mail and distribute according to current instructions and guidelines.
Retrieves in a timely manner all Medical Group documents requested by biller, including EOBs, Anesthesia batches, Charge Abstracts, and/or Payment batches.
Prepare claims for mail distribution by sorting paper claims by insurance sponsor code. Notify supervisor, manager and/or IS staff of missing claims and statements.
Access the GE/IDX computer system to identify insurance sponsorship information. Retrieve and attach medical record copies to claims for mail distribution.
Perform other tasks as may be assigned by supervisor and/or manager.
Perform other duties such as scanning, shredding, stuffing, folding, and batching of materials.
Ability to keyboard/type 45 WPM, 10-Key by touch.
Knowledge and ability to use MS Windows Applications, Excel and Word.

Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences.

Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
Willing to work overtime.
