Manage the daily operations of Lutheran Breast Care Center. Promote breast imaging to meet corporate and departmental goals. Ensure daily imaging functions are accomplished, to effectively meet the needs of patient, physician and staff. Conducts performance evaluations, ensures staff competency, monitors time/attendance, assists in hiring and disciplinary actions. Ensures adequate staffing to meet service needs. Maintains optimal supply levels for the function of the service. Maintains standards on equipment and ensures that all preventive maintenance occurs as scheduled. Assists in the development of capital and operating budgets. Ensures open and constructive communication between staff, physicians and all other services. Creates a Department wide focus on performance improvement and quality management. Helps identify and implement system improvements that support business functions. Establishes a positive and collaborative working environment for all hospital staff and physicians. Actively participates in problem solving and empowered to expedite decisions relating to patient safety, care, courtesy and efficiency. Will consistently practice and promote the Best in the Nation Service Behaviors, Service Strategies and Service Priorities. Works collaboratively with the members of the cancer service line.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Currently Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists At least five (5) active years of experience in a mammography department.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a clinical science, business or management. Previous experience as Supervisor or Manager. Basic knowledge of mammography equipment and related information systems including hardware and software applications.
