In accordance with the needs of the ages of the population served by Kennedy Krieger Institute, the Manager for Medical Program Operations in the Autism Department is responsible for daily operations. The Manager will work cooperatively and closely with the Director and Clinical Director of Autism, consult with Departments of Finance, Human Resources, and with other supporting Departments as necessary to accomplish the goals set by the Director of Autism and the Vice President of Medical and Research Programs.
Liaison with Departments of Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Care-Management,and other support departments to meet the daily operating needs of the specified Program(s), and ensure compliance with all Institute, State and Federal policies, rules, laws and regulations.
Maintain close and cooperative working relationship with the Clinical Director of Autism to ensure effective daily operations.
Oversee the daily operations of the specified Program(s) Care Center functions which include, but are not limited to the following; registration, scheduling, charge entry and assistance with reconciliation/reimbursement.
Create, maintain and enter data into reporting tools/databases used to monitor all specified Program(s) operations.
Generate, distribute and review reports with clinicians.
Analyze budgetary trends, project revenues and expenses, and make recommendations for proper adjustments.
Prepare the fiscal year budget for specified Program(s). Develop and monitor systems for specific purpose funds for appropriate expenses and revenues in conjunction with the offices of Finance and Development.
Represent the specified Program(s) at all research, clinical, operational, and budget related meetings.
Submit position requisitions, job descriptions and personnel change notices to Human Resources for subordinate personnel within specified Program(s).
Supervise administrative staff, including Care Center Team Leader; schedule and approve leave, overtime, etc, for subordinate personnel within specified Program(s).
Maintain personnel performance management systems, including meeting regularly with subordinate personnel to review performance and create development plans, and for completing six-month and yearly Performance Reviews for subordinates.
BA/BS in business, finance, accounting, management, or life science required.
4 years clinical management experience preferably in a medical setting with research components
Experience managing budgets and contracts required.
Experience in managing financial aspects of departments.
Experience in financial forecasting.
