Network System Manager in charge of Ralph Laurens Client Technologies engineering initiatives. This candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Client Technologies engineering including: Requirements gathering, relationship management, packaging process, documentation, application testing, library, and test lab infrastructure. The candidate will also be required to manage outsource relationship for application packaging. The candidate will also work with Polo business units and peers to ensure that the Application Integration and Client Technologies engineering needs of the business are met.
This candidate will also be responsible for managing the Core applications associated with the RL Desktop. Developing and maintaining the global core catalog. The candidate will manage a team of engineers in support of the Client Technologies engineering initiatives. This candidate must have a Strong working knowledge of the MS Operating System ranging from Windows XP through Windows 7. This role will include developing the RL Global architecture for applications essential to the core and Operating System level.
The ideal candidate will also be responsible for managing the Global Distributed Technologies Lab infrastructure. Creating a check in check out process for lab machines needed during UAT and Engineering efforts. A working knowledge of Virtual machine technologies is a must. The candidate will be responsible for tracking lab assets and making sure the lab is available at all times.
The candidate must be able to manage a diverse team and process in support of Client Technologies engineering. The candidate will support a global process.
The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years’ experience in Application Management, Integration and Desktop Engineering. This candidate should also have completed a Bachelors degree program.
This candidate should have a solid understanding in Systems Management practice and platforms (Software Distribution, Inventory, Metering and Patch Management). Experience in SMS, SCCM is preferred. Experience in Altiris, Tivoli, Etc… will be considered.
This candidate will also be required to own vendor relationships with Hardware, Software and Service vendors in order to maintain excellent service delivery for Ralph Lauren.
Strong working knowledge of application deployment methodologies.
Strong working knowledge of the MS Operation System ranging from Windows XP through Windows 7.
Strong working knowledge of PC and Apple based hardware.
Working knowledge of Virtual machine technologies.
Excellent presentation, intrapersonal and oganizational skills.
Working knowledge of MS Systems Center Configuration Manager, SMS and OSD.
Good knowledge of application virtualization.
Good knowledge of Application Packaging Processes.
