Neutrogena Corporation, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Manager of Quality and Compliance to be located in Los Angeles, CA.
Neutrogena Corporation develops, manufactures and markets premium skin and hair care products sold worldwide and recommended by medical professionals. The regulatory classification of the products is principally OTC drug. The product line includes acne treatment products, sun protection, facial care as well as other hair and skin care products.
The Manager of Quality and Compliance plans, executes and manages quality systems and activities including the management of corrective and preventive action and non-conforming system process and metric, document control and training systems as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements. This individual is responsible for managing the areas of Audit Management both internally to J&J as well as external agencies. The Manager of Quality and Compliance is responsible for the support for the site enterprise systems (SAP, GSS, Symphony, EtQ). This individual is accountable for setting strategies as it relates to Plant wide training requirements from Senior Leaders to Plant Operators. This individual ensures the analysis, evaluation, and presentation of information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, economic trends, and design and development of new products.
The Manager of Quality and Compliance oversees the development of policies and procedures which affect operational and compliance status. This individual assures compliance with all local government regulatory requirements. This individual also organizes plans, leads and manages quality related projects in alignment with company goals and facilitates the development and training of staff. This individual prioritizes use of staff resources based on global project team input and forecasts headcount and resource needs based on these priorities.
A Bachelors degree or equivalent combined with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required with at least 3 years in a Manager role. Previous experience working within a GMP and FDA (Pharmaceutical or Medical Device) regulated environment is required. A minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance experience is required. Previous experience working within a Plant environment is required. Previous project management experience is required. Experience managing people is required. Experience with Design Controls, Process Development, Quality Assurance and Quality Risk Management (ICHQ9) is preferred. Strong Knowledge of CFR 210, 211 and CAPA is preferred.
Previous experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Planning, Suppliers, Technical Assurance/Technical Transfer, Product Development, Project Management, Sales and Procurement is a plus. Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training and/or certification is preferred. This candidate must be able to influence people at different levels in a matrix organization. Strong independent and analytical thinking skills are required. This candidate must be a strong team player and have strong relationship building skills in this multicultural environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
This candidate may be required to travel up to 10% based on the needs of the business and is based in Los Angeles, CA.
