Manage the delivery of research computing services across the University, including scientific computing programming, programming consulting, applications support, and training. Supervise a team of scientific and visualization programmers and scientific application specialist. Identify, develop and evaluate opportunities for new or enhanced research computing application services and technologies across a broad range of disciplines and organizational units across the University. Manage the service life-cycle.
Masters degree, Doctorate preferred. ITIL training and certification desired. In-depth knowledge of scientific applications and high- performance computing (HPC)in a research environment. Proven project and team management ability. Experience with HPC hardware. At least eight years of related experience.
