Description

As a member of Global Business & Finance Services (GBFS), the position forms part of the Global Process Owner Group for Procure to Pay (P2P) and Procurement Operations. As a Subject Matter Expert for the global Procurement Operations System SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) with direct responsibility for compliance, improvements and evolution of the P2P processes, as well as play an integral role in the Global standardization of these processes. Responsibility for leading and/or partaking in major projects around re-design, both internally with the P2P teams and with other groups within the Enterprise Services structure. Create and maintain an efficient, transparent, and compliant requisitioning environment. Key facilitator of decisions to identify and implement changes that improve effectiveness of the P2P process and allow for incremental and sustainable value to be realized. Support Ownership of Procurement Operations systems/technology that provide synergy to a complex, multi-tiered, and global environment while driving overall efficiencies and an improved user experience–including upgrades, maintenance, user access reviews and disaster recovery exercises. Provide oversight and guidance to project teams, third party/partner functional and development organization. Define and develop requirements documents for systems projects and elective enhancements. Responsible for development of training programs to educate clients on procurement processes and technology. Play an integral role in the establishment of end to end P2P process redesign and procurement systems. Proactively identify continuous improvement ideas to enhance quality, performance and system effectiveness through external benchmarking, senior level business partnerships, and coordination across impacted functions/persons. Leverage opportunities across all tools, processes and functions. Oversee the system administration process, including creation/management of SLAs with the external service providers providing the support. Manage relationships with external contacts to ensure a transparent systems/process with outsourced third party providers for the global catalog management and R&D stock room system. Provide functional expertise on Procurement Operations systems/technology including critical management support and facilitation for projects that require inputs/outputs from the procurement systems area. Manage the SRM Resource Center SharePoint Site.

Qualifications

Deliver on all project timelines, project budget and overall project quality. Develop effective partnerships with functions/persons impacted by these procurement systems and/or which support driving the successful management of these systems. Candidate must be able to work on projects independently or as a member of a team. Ability to interface directly with suppliers and internal customers of all level. Provide back-end support for transactional sessions and system maintenance. Support online catalog process by working with suppliers and catalog managers
Education: A Bachelor's degree, with preference for Business Management/Information Management required.
Experience/ Knowledge Desired: At least 3–5 years of broad experience in business/operational mgmt, with preference for P2P processes. Experience with project management of implementations/upgrades and functional support of procurement applications, with preference for SAP/SRM. Ability to understand and translate business needs into business system requirements, effectively transforming those requirements into solutions. Ability to employ analytical, strategic and conceptual thinking. Proven experience in process improvement and documentation. Experienced in effective communication development and presentation. Excellent computer skills with competencies in Excel, Access, Power point, and some experience with SAP SRM (Requisitioning). Working understanding of sourcing methodology/transactional procurement
