MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS APPLICATION ENGINEER(Job Number: 1300258)
1. Serve as a subject matter expert in the use of the OSI PI application through formal classroom training and hands-on experiences. 2. The successful candidate will be expected to assist the business clients in articulating their requirements, identifying the appropriate analysis techniques to meet those requirements, and then working closely with the Process Robustness technical support personnel to implement, test, and deliver the appropriate solution. 3. This position will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of additional Manufacturing IT systems capabilities being delivered to BMS manufacturing sites 4. Develop and maintain a data collection, aggregation and support strategy that integrates process knowledge, equipment design, and quality standards with information technology to reduce down-time, elevate the level of regulatory compliance, and introduce efficiency gains through effective use of available technologies 5. Oversee the development of procedures, documentation tools and techniques to efficiently generate required life-cycle system design documentation. 6. Support software and configuration required for external systems interfaces such as DeltaV, SAP, LIMS, and Maximo. Previous experience with any of these systems is a plus.
1. Successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field, or computer science, with at least 3-5 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry. 2. A successful candidate will have knowledge of manufacturing IT and automation capabilities and technologies with emphasis on historian and reporting technologies. Experience with the OSI PI Historian set of tools is preferred. Experience with Emerson DeltaV, Syncade, Werum, Crystal Reports, SQL Reports, html, and xsl expertise would be preferable. MS Windows Server, MS SQL server, Oracle, and MS Sharepoint also a plus. 3. Knowledge and experience with statistical and analytical tools, such as Discoverant, SAS, or MiniTab is preferred. 4. Successful candidate will possess: a. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working in diverse, multi-disciplined work groups. b. Experience and/or substantial understanding of process control principles and common system vendors’ available products. c. Skills in S88 batch, historian technology, databases, and reporting systems. d. Demonstrated expertise and competence in data collection, . e. Ability to work in a diverse work environment, manage multiple priorities, and at times, be self-directed. 5. Excellent written and communication skill are required. 6. Candidate must have a flexible and creative work style with a goal of attaining excellence.
