Bachelors Degree required. Masters preferred. Must have at least 10 years of related experience. 15 + years preferred.
Work with the Marketing & Communications Director and Senior Leadership to develop, implement and sustain a focused internal and external communications plans that strengthens the St. Mary brand image and supports the vision and growth of the organization.
Manage highly interactive and integrated teams for the implementation of a comprehensive marketing and communications plan, which supports the overall strategies and goals of St Mary Medical Center.
Manage daily operations of internal communications including contemporary vehicles and message-driven materials that demonstrate alignment with the St. Mary operating plan, future vision, and strategic marketing and communications plan. Manage the approval process of communication materials by senior management, service line leaders and medical directors for all stakeholder audiences.
Lead Colleague Engagement Communication efforts position St. Mary as the premier healthcare provider in the region and as an employer of choice. Lead internal and external communications by providing strategic counsel, clear and consistent message development, writing and editing services, quality control, professional development and innovative solutions to client needs.
Support the VP of Human Resources for internal communication needs including: colleague incentive awards, town halls, HR/benefits and policy information, colleague and physician satisfaction surveys, workplace distinctions, health and wellness promotion, and spiritual workplace environment, etc. Support Medical Staff Office, Nursing, IT, Finance, Spiritual Care, and other key departments for communication needs including: patient-centered care models, clinical information systems, quality improvement initiatives, operational process improvement and cost-saving strategies, service excellence, facility construction, and safety & security. Provide CHE system office communication department with St. Mary information to cross-promote in the monthly CEO Report and quarterly Horizons newsletter.
Manage daily operations of creative services programs including writing/editing, graphic design, photography, printing, video productions and electronic communications. Oversee the department database and creative portfolio for video, photography, art files, brand logos, campaign materials, etc. Manage and maintain a network of resources, including agencies, consultants, freelance writers and designers, printers, and other specialized vendors.
Responsible for planning and production of St. Mary publications and collateral materials, including monthly colleague newsletter, quarterly physician and nursing newsletters, brochures, fliers, service line guides and hospital reports.
Contribute a leadership role to the departmental efforts to create a client-service organization. Also contribute to efforts to sustain a highly engaged, motivated and satisfied department team.
