The Marketing and Events Coordinator is responsible for building Runzheimer market influence, brand awareness and generating sales leads through the planning, development, execution and measurement of trade shows, events and client training activities.This role ensures Runzheimer achieves and maintains a positive high profile for its products with target markets, and advances the Runzheimer messaging. In addition, this position contributes to department objectives by supporting campaign and PR activities and is responsible for timely lead processing.

Key Functions Include:
Identifying key industry tradeshows relevant to supporting marketing goals for individual product areas

Developing and proposing a tradeshow marketing plan, including targeted shows and proposed budgets

Generating high ROI for tradeshows and events measured by generated qualified leads, sales feedback and closed deals

Coordinating and executing all aspects of Client Training and other Runzheimer events and ensuring successful outcome as determined by event objectives.

Supporting in-house PR program by maintaining the Runzheimer press database and PR dashboard

Promoting events through marketing campaigns, social media and the corporate website

Managing lead transfer to sales as part of a measured, closed-loop process, and working closely with Marketing team members to provide lead activity data

Assisting with list development in support of marketing campaigns

Identifying and pursuing paid and unpaid speaking opportunities in support of product marketing plans

Involves up to 10% travel to events as necessary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Events/Trade Shows

Develop and maintain a matrix of industry tradeshows for evaluation, updated throughout the year, by product area, that includes associated costs and potential ROI. Work with Sales and Product Managers to develop and propose the tradeshow and events calendar to include suggested participation and a business case for attending

Develop a tradeshow marketing plan that identifies recommended industry tradeshows to sponsor, attend or speak at, by product group, that outlines objectives, messaging and measurable ROI for each

Develop a client training event plan that identifies event locations, budgets, participants, itineraries and objectives. Execute events on time and budget to meet objectives, prepare appropriate pre-event promotion, internal communication, post event follow-up and implement year-over-year improvement.

Coordinate with sales ahead of each event to ensure attainment of objectives, messaging and ROI

Execute the event plans and manage end-to-end activities for all events to meet objectives for lead generation and budget. Prepare, manage and report event costs to ensure programs stay on time and on budget.

Secure tradeshow speaking engagements and coordinate with Runzheimer spokespersons, secure presentation materials, including audience engagement and lead capture methods for speakers

Create and distribute pre-show information packets that provide complete exhibitor information and instructions for all Runzheimer participants.

Create post-event reports that analyze outcome for leads, customer satisfaction, sales feedback, competitive intelligence and other relevant information

Manage the inventory of all tradeshow materials, booths, graphics, logo giveaways and marketing collateral so property is well documented, inventoried, searchable, and stored.

Promote tradeshows internally by raising awareness of plans, participants, objectives and outcomes of each show

Promote shows externally through appropriate channels of direct mail, eMail, PR, social media, the corporate website, the client newsletter, etc.

Manage vendors in the creation of new booth graphics, show logistics, promotional items campaigns and advertising as related to tradeshow activities and promotions to be on time and budget.

Attend events as required to coordinate logistics, setup and booth/event management

Other Support Functions

Monitor and maintain primary responsibility for the Marketing inbox. Ensure sales leads from all sources are transferred to sales within 24 hours of receipt through the correct process and to the correct recipient

Monitor lead follow-up with PMs and BDRs to ensure initial follow up occurs in a timely manner

Assist with monitoring PR and social media platforms and prepare reports as requested

Monitor press coverage including media monitoring, tracking and reporting

Build and maintain editorial contact lists by product area using the PR dashboard

Assist with cross-promotion of marketing campaigns as requested

Assist with building of campaign lists as requested

Assist with coordination of Runzheimer internal events and sales meetings as requested

Required Skills

Required Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or Communications

3-5 years of marketing experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with tradeshow or event management and execution

Familiarity with social media platforms, best practices and measurement tools

Deadline-driven and able to work both independently and as part of a team

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Proficient in Microsoft Office, esp. Powerpoint and Excel
