The Marketing Specialist serves as the primary marketing liaison for assigned product lines and other defined responsibilities. The selected person will work closely with the Director of Marketing, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to generate highly-focused marketing deliverables. They will plan, develop, schedule, and implement activities to develop all marketing initiatives across a wide variety of channels including POS literature, catalog pages, press releases, application articles, newsletters, direct mailers, webpages, sales support and more. Finally, they must thrive in a team environment committed to world-class customer service. Other duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Ability to manage a large workload with overlapping timelines for a variety of stakeholders.
Works independently and with other department and organization staff in planning and executing internal and external communications programs, campaign planning, and other marketing initiatives.
Frequent contact with customers regarding a variety of customer support needs.
Works with stakeholders to arrange vendor services for printing, ad placement, and other services to insure that marketing deliverables are cost effective and within budget.
Plans meetings, presentations and special events and participates and represents department in these activities.
Researches and stays current on all marketing topics, channels and trends to compile market research for new product development and market campaigns.
Measures effectiveness of activities and presents findings to stakeholders throughout the year.
Monitors tradeshow schedule to ensure assigned product lines are represented in application-specific methods at all shows; attends and contributes industry knowledge for assigned products at pre-show meetings.
Qualified applicants will have a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field and five (5) or more year’s of practical experience providing product marketing support within a company or corporation with an emphasis on project management across a wide variety of channels; some industrial marketing experience would be preferred. The selected candidate will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, advanced interpersonal and organizational skills, and exceptional personal computing skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook; advanced internet research skills, SEO, SEM and Social Media skills required. Finally, the ability to travel when required to dealer and end user sites, trade shows, and other work-related functions.
