Provide excellent customer service to build and maintain positive relationships with all customers.

Ensure that all SWA Maintenance Procedure Manual, DOT, and FAA policies and procedures related to material handling, both internal and external, are adhered too in regards to SWA materials.

Ensure all SWA owned material that is expended, non-expended, stocked, and/or shipped is properly received, inventoried, issued, credited and dispositioned as required by SWA Maintenance Procedure Manual
Order and complete aircraft parts pre-draw lists in support of heavy maintenance, mod lines, Y checks and drop in aircraft. If parts are not in stock then procure before aircraft arrives. When procuring parts from vendors ensure that all SWA Maintenance Procedure Manual are followed and proper certs are requested.

Work Shop AOG requests following the same guidelines used in procuring Heavy Maintenance parts.

Attend all Production and Daily Aircraft Status meetings. Attend Pre-dock and Post-dock meetings.

Manage the material movement between SWA and Provider, using the best economic carrier while still maintaining span times.

Resolve problems pertaining to rotable components with the correct Maintenance Departments.

Coordinate with Material Planning to request additional spares that are requested by production or researched by the Material Coordinator.

Works in cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our Company.

Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.

May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.

Minimum Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION (Level, and degree if applicable)

Bachelor's Degree in aviation, business, or logistics is preferred. Will substitute aviation logistics experience for degree.


Three years of materials control, logistics, or supply chain management is preferred.

Three years aviation/airline maintenance and/or aviation materials experience is preferred.


Airframe and Powerplant certificate is preferred.


Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job requirements.


Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

Must be able to work well with others and as part of a Team.

Must have a strong positive attitude and the ability to motivate yourself.

Must be able to start stop change and restart jobs with little effort.

Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must have strong computer skills and be versed on some standard PC applications.

Must be able to work rotating days off, weekends, nights, and holidays.


Ability to work effectively under stress and short deadlines.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
