The Medical Technologist is responsible to perform all diagnostic testing and quality controls; prepare reagents; report results according to established policies and procedures; review and oversee moderate to high complexity testing; monitor and maintain computer applications; maintain equipment and supplies and perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: HS diploma/GED
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
REQUIRED LICENSURE: Florida license as medical technologist in all areas, Chemistry and Hematology preferred.
Temporary license applicable for 60 days pending permanent license.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATION: ASCP
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Three years clinical laboratory experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in Chemistry, Hematology, Serology, Immunology, Blood Bank
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Computer skills appropriate to position, Interpersonal skills, Work independently with minimal supervision, Medical terminology and understanding, Teamwork, Organizational skills, Written and verbal communication skills, Time management, Customer service skills.
