This position is accountable for interpreting and transcribing dictation by physicians regarding patient assessment, work up, therapeutic procedures, clinical course, diagnosis, etc., in order to document patient care and facilitate delivery of health care services.

The incumbent must be a High School graduate or equivalent. Required: knowledge of medical terminology; excellent written and oral communication skills; experience with word processors and dictation equipment. Two years of experience as a medical transcriptionist is required.
