Behavioral Health is located in Greer and convenient to Greenville
and areas throughout Upstate, SC. Our facility specializes in
psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment for adolescents, adults
and senior adults. To meet the diverse needs of the community, an
array of inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient programs
focused on mental health and substance abuse treatments are

orientation 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and a three
to five day orientation on patient units from 7:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m.

When on the geriatric unit, you will change
patient diapers and give baths to patients.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES : To provide direct patient care under the
supervision of an RN to adolescent, adult and geriatric
patients. To ensure the
safety and well being of these patients and to support the
maintenance of therapeutic milieu.

patients’ participation in therapeutic activities; (f)
supervising patients to ensure their safety and their involvement in
treatment; (g) providing input during shift

QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY :
High school level reading and writing
skills. Acceptable oral
and written communication skills/ legible handwriting skills. Ability
to maintain information as highly confidential. Professional telephone
etiquette and customer service skills by phone and face to face are
Certification as nursing assistant or patient care technician
and/or familiarity with medical and psychological terminology
in dealing courteously with the public and other staff within the
organization. A basic
knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology will be very
useful as well as skills in prioritizing and in managing time.
