Interface is searching for a Manager of Planning and Yarn Procurement for the West Point facility.

The Manager of Planning and Yarn Procurement will oversee production scheduling for a fast paced, complex manufacturing environment by managing and leading a group of associates to accomplish effective planning for several major value streams. He/She will collaborate with various departments to ensure the detailed production plan is implemented in a timely and efficient manner to meet customer requirements. The successful candidate oversee the activities of yarn purchasing to ensure maintenance of yarn inventory stocking levels, monitor stock levels at yarn suppliers, evaluate current and future yarn requirements and analyze and understand major peak order and production trends to direct the release of production schedules to maximize operational efficiency and plan for future volume. Lifting up to 35 lbs is required.


Candidates must have:
  • College degree (in lieu of a degree consideration will be given to 15 years of progressive experience in planning and inventory management)
  • Lean Enterprise certification or willingness to achieve
  • Fifteen years of progressive experience in planning and inventory management
  • Experience in development of the master plan, min/max modeling, and statistical analysis
  • Strong overall computer skills with a preference for:
    • Microsoft Office and Excel
    • VBA
    • Oracle E1
    • AS/400
    • CMS
    • Lotus
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of supply chain and manufacturing processes
  • Good organizational, analytical, collobration, time management and mathematical skills
  • Demonstrated strong team building skills
  • Demonstrated success working well under pressure and with handling multiple tasks
  • Ability to identify and prioritize requirements as needed for Planning staff and Operations
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Two – five years’ experience with managing other and hiring responsibility
  • Demonstrated success with meeting customer needs

In addition to the above requirements, it is preferred that applicants will have:
  • APICS certification CPIM
