Hyannis, MA, Full-Time/Year-Round SUMMARY:

The MOC Manager will be responsible to support Director of Maintenance with overseeing the day-to-day functions of the Maintenance Operational Control Department. This will include monitoring and assisting Maintenance Controllers with providing technical and logistical support to Maintenance and Flight Crew for active aircraft maintenance discrepancies, MEL/CDL and deferred maintenance items, with the ultimate goal of determining proper and timely corrective action. The MOC Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that communication between MOC and SOC is clear and concise during daily operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide effective leadership to the MOC department with a paramount focus on safety and compliance
  • Directs and oversees the daily operation
  • Provide a vision and direction for creative ways which allows MOC to enhance the daily operation
  • Ensures communication between MOC and SOC is clear and concise during daily operations
  • Directs the Maintenance Controllers in researching reference material to use when fixing a discrepancy and returning the aircraft to service during daily operations with a sense of urgency
  • Facilitate the daily CAS and 0830 Aircraft Status conference calls
  • Scheduling of all MOC employees for optimal coverage that effectively utilizes payroll budget
  • Processing of bi-weekly payroll for department
  • Handle and coordinate all new hire and recurrent training for Maintenance Controllers
  • Act as liaison between Director of Maintenance and MOC Staff
  • Assist in the evaluation of employee performance
  • Be available to monitor and assist in problem solving with unusual problems; direct the Maintenance Controllers in researching reference material to use when fixing a discrepancy and returning the aircraft to service during daily operations
  • Develop, implement, and look for creative, cost effective solutions to every day process procedures
  • Be highly visible within the department to be approachable for all daily needs within the department
  • Support and encourage ideas and different ways to troubleshoot with team members
  • Develop and support new initiatives in the department as needed
  • Work some regularly scheduled shifts providing desk coverage as a Maintenance Controller
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of “Continuous Process Improvements” for the MOC department.
  • Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5-10 years MOC experience required
  • Previous management or supervisory experience required
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have proven decision making and problems solving skills
  • Must have a good understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Must work well under pressure
  • Must be willing and available to work any and all scheduled shifts and to come in with little or no notice to handle any employee or scheduling issues
  • Experienced with CPI projects
  • Must exhibit exceptional knowledge of Cape Air and must embody the Cape Air MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit
