This position will ensure continuous telemetry monitoring of all patients who are admitted into any of the three levels of Monitored Care in order to rapidly identify arrhythmias and maintain the appropriate standard of care.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Continuous telemetry monitoring of all patients admitted to a monitored care area.
Identification and notification of arrhythmias per established protocols
Documentation of rhythm strips per established protocols.
Communicates with designated Charge Nurse per established protocols
Maintains a current Spectra-link phone list for immediate communication capability with Primary RN
Ongoing maintenance of telemetry packs, leads, and monitors
Responsible for data entry reflecting the admission, discharge, and transfer of telemetry patients in the monitoring system
Acquisition of STAT 12-Lead ECG
Successfully completes the designated ECG interpretation class and test
Maintains annual ECG interpretation competencies
Maintains all mandatory competencies per CHS policy
Population served: adolescent to geriatric.
This position adheres to and is responsible for the safety standards of Centegra Health System including the completion of the mandatory organizational safety standards on an annual basis.

Minimum Education, Skills and Abilities
High school diploma or GED: Required
CNA or EMT-B: Required, EMT-P preferred
CPR: Required, ACLS Preferred
Willingness to Work in a Team Environment - Required
Excellent Communication Skills - Required
Physical ability to perform functional requirements as detailed
