Duties and Responsibilities

The Campus Safety Department of Loyola University Chicago seeks responsible individuals for a part-time Residence Hall Monitor position. Typically working 16 hours/week: Friday and Saturday nights, 9:45 p.m. to 6:15 a.m., this position is responsible for monitoring the entry and exit of individuals to and from the residence halls; signing in guests of residents; and, reporting any and all suspicious activity in their area to Campus Safety.

Minimum Education or Experience

High School Diploma or GED and zero-one year of related experience.

Certificates, credentials or licenses required to perform the duties of this position:

Computer Skills:
In addition to the above, qualified candidates must possess good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to project a professional, friendly demeanor to students, faculty, staff, and visitors; demonstrated strong customer service commitment; and basic computer keyboarding skills and the ability to learn and use software. Prior experience in an educational environment a plus. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
